There are many ways to elicit one’s personal mission, and there is more than one way to describe this definition of what our lives are about. Some call it a mission statement or an “I am” statement. It gets to the heart of what we, as working parents, want for ourselves and for our growing families. Naming and claiming your personal mission can give you a powerful sense of direction for your life. Defining this is a process that 3Be Coaches are experts in facilitating. Here are a few resources that can support some self-led reflection.
I am enough and have all that I need to raise a resilient family. I will inspire my children’s growth through love and curiosity so that I may better understand them. I am committed to helping my children uncover their own gifts, talents, and purpose so that they too can better understand themselves and what they want in this life.
In the Smith family, our mission is to love, respect, encourage and defend each other. Because of our family ties, we recognize that we know each other better than anyone else, and as such, we are committed to lift each other up and cheer each other on through the trials and tribulations of life.
